Moore House Fine Alpacas maintains a wide selection of reasonably priced huacaya alpacas. We offer both double and single registered breeding stock as well as a small number of fibre or hobby alpacas. As each cria season comes to a close, we are delighted with the results of our breeding program. Fibre and Hobby Alpacas
Because we have set such a stringent standard for breeding males, not all male alpacas born at Moore House qualify for herdsire status, and are thus not registered. To further advance our breeding program, we have also begun to remove some females from our breeding pool. These non-breeding alpacas make wonderful additions to fibre herds, small or large, where the emphasis is on fibre production rather than on breeding livestock. Even if your wish is to pursue an alpaca breeding venture in the future, purchasing a group of fibre or hobby alpacas to begin your adventure can help you get accustomed to caring for alpacas without the added concern of impending births and the extra care required for pregnant moms and new born crias.

Zack Attack - DOB Aug. 27, 2012. Solid white male. Finest fleece we have produced on our farm to date. (Average fibre diameter of 16.2 um at 1 year of age.) Small frame - we're waiting to see how he grows out this year!
Libby's Boy (to be renamed) - DOB June 15, 2012. Solid white male. Full brother to multiple ribbon winner MH The Patriot who has just been added to our breeding pool. Very fine, bright fleece. We're keeping an eye on him too!

Tricky Dicky (left) - DOB June 29, 2011. Solid cream male with dense fleece. Good frame. Full of spunk and with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, Tricky Dicky likes to know what is going on with everyone. A true socialite, yet respectful of people!
Avalon (right) - DOB July 6, 2011. Solid white (despite photo above) with gorgeous long crimpy locks of shiny fleece. Excellent coverage. Nice large frame. Very lovable in every way, Avalon is calm and very easy to handle. He likes treats and thinks about his belly a lot!

The Dandy Man can!! With the softest, finest fibre of any alpaca produced at our farm, Dandy Man would be a fantastic addition to any herd. His fibre is truly spectacular – glossy, crimpy, pure white fleece with an incredible handle like silk.
A product of our own beautiful MH Cara Bella and well known AH Patronne, Beau is a superior fibre male. He is well covered with incredibly shiny solid light fawn fleece with a particularly long staple length. MH Cara Bella is one of our favourite girls as she is extremely even tempered. Nothing seems to faze this girl and sometimes we even have to step over her to get where we are going as she is too unconcerned about our presence to move for us. It is not attitude – she is just mellow!

Juno is a lovely boy who possesses extremely fine soft fibre with a silky handle. His pure white fleece just sparkles! Juno has a quiet temperament and is nicely lead trained. He gets along famously with his pen buddy, Tycho. They make an attractive pair as Tycho is black.

Tycho is a gorgeous boy and consistently garners the oohhs and aahhs from visitors to our farm. Take a look at his face and you'll know why! He is a beautiful boy with lovely dense crimpy fibre and sturdy conformation. His buddy since birth is Juno. We would love to see them sold together as a package.
Twister looks just like his award winning Dad with beautifully fine fibre to boot - just look at his histogram! He always gets oohs and aahs from visitors as he has loads of eye appeal and is quite the entertainer with his playful antics. Twister gets along well with his herdmates, especially his buddies, Kensington and Herc. He is well lead trained.

Herc is a gentle leader who tends to be the peacemaker in the crowd. One of the kids’ favourites, Herc is extremely easy to handle, well lead trained and very calm when out and about the orchards on walks. We would love to see Herc sold in a package with Kensington and Twister as they have been buddies since they were born.
Like his mom, Kensington possesses beautiful light fawn fleece with amazing coverage. Both as a cria and as a yearling, he appreciated us giving him a good trimming around his eyes months before shearing time so that he would stop bumping into things. His fleece is gorgeous – very fine, very dense, and with the high frequency crimp we love so much.
