Carbon is a gentlemanly breeder, eager but gentle with the ladies.  While he is definitely the alpha male in the crowd, he is not the instigator of disagreements and will only wrestle if provoked by one of the others.  He is definitely the boss of the wading pool though!

A handsome boy with real macho presence, Carbon has amazing conformation.  He possesses heavy bone, particularly in his neck and legs which we find is often not the case with black alpacas.  His fibre coverage is excellent with particularly good coverage on his legs, right to the tips of his toes.  Carbon is true black and while the tip of each ear is attractively marked with white; no other white markings are evident elsewhere.

Carbon is half Peruvian, sired by the famous CPeruvian Timo who is a rich mahogany colour.  Although Carbon is shy, he is nicely halter trained and is comfortable being led on walks with other alpacas.  His cria have lovely personalities and exquisite fibre with incredible shine.  His daughter MH Dancing Luna is one of our best producing females herself and has produced several 1st Place ribbon winners!  Carbon himself was never shown.

Carbon has been used as a service sire on a limited basis since we discontinued breeding for black several years ago.  Therefore, his unique genetics are not overused, making him a valuable asset to revitalize a black breeding program!!
